Editorial Policy
This policy explains how Latent Lens, a product operated by Gradient V5, Inc., publishes product information, practical guidance, and comparisons.
Accountability & scope
The Latent Lens Editorial Team is an organizational byline, not an independent newsroom or a claim that a named subject-matter expert wrote every page. Latent Lens owns and maintains the published material. Product pages, legal policies, help content, tools, and editorial guides can have different purposes, but factual product claims should agree across them.
Source hierarchy
For externally verifiable claims, we prefer sources in this order:
- Current official documentation, laws, standards, and regulator guidance.
- Directly observed first-party product behavior and dated test results.
- Clearly identified primary research with enough methodology to evaluate it.
- Reputable secondary reporting when a primary source is unavailable.
We avoid anonymous “industry insight,” salary, adoption, conversion, and outcome claims when no source or reproducible method is available. Content awaiting evidence should remain out of search indexes until it is reviewed.
Product facts
Availability, pricing, required uploads, output count, resolution, turnaround, licensing, retention, sharing, and model-training terms are maintained as reviewed product facts. When the product is in beta, pages must distinguish a target or planned capability from a capability available to every visitor.
Legal policies control when a short marketing summary conflicts with them. A summary should be corrected rather than interpreted as a narrower legal promise.
Comparisons & commercial interest
Latent Lens has a commercial interest in comparisons involving its own product. A comparison must disclose that relationship, identify its review date, link to the evidence used, separate tested facts from vendor claims, and avoid describing itself as independent. Unverified comparison pages are not intended for search indexing.
Images & demonstrations
Product output should be labeled as AI-generated only when its provenance is documented. Stock photography and design references must be labeled as illustrative material and must not be presented as a customer result, testimonial, or product output.
Automated assistance
Automated tools may assist with drafting, code, formatting, or consistency checks. They do not establish that a claim is true. Published material remains the responsibility of Gradient V5, Inc., and unsupported generated claims are removed or kept noindex until evidence is available.
Updates & corrections
Guides show a publication date and a last-modified date. Material changes to a product fact or cited policy should trigger a review of affected metadata, structured data, FAQs, and AI-discovery files. We correct substantive errors rather than silently preserving an outdated claim for search visibility.
To report an error, use the contact page and include the page URL, the disputed statement, and a supporting source when available.
